The 42nd Annual Blessing of the Fleet will be held Sunday May 3 at 2:00 p.m. on the Clear Creek Channel along the Kemah Boardwalk. The Blessing will include Shrimp Boats and Pleasure Boats that will be colorfully decorated and will file past the Cadillac Authentic Mexican Restaurant where they will be blessed by the officiating priest and minister.
Join JM YACHTS at this wonderful event and make sure to save some time to enjoy the BlueGrass Festival and Chili Cook-Off that will be happening in Kemah on the same weekend.

Mark your calendars! It is almost time for the Annual Mariner's Flea Market.This much anticipated event will be held at the Elk's Lodge, Clear Lake Shores, TX (next door to the Home Depot on Marina Bay Drive) on Sat., April 10, 2010 from 8:00 AM-Noon. Bring your nautical items to sell. Bring your own blanket, table or truck, however you want to display your wares. Remember, you may not need that item now, but someone would love to have it. So come out & join Texas Mariners Cruising Association members for this fun event!

Congratulations to our very good friends, Jon and Renne Siewers, and the crew of their beautiful Tayana 42. After more than 500 hours of fun (and hard work) decorating Jon Ne, they made their way down the Kemah Channel, with Mira lighting the way, to win First Place in the Sailing Class at the Yachty Gras Boat Parade in Kemah on February 13, 2010.
This is their third time to participate in this annual parade and every year they have finished top in their class. Special kudos go to them this year because not only did they and their crew decorate their boat, they also decorated their home since Jon and Renne are full time liveaboards at Portofino Harbour Marina.

It's time to celebrate Mardi Gras......the boating way! Festivities kick off at 7 PM, Friday, February 12, 2010 at Madeline's Wine Bistro & Piano Lounge in Kemah, TX. This event is not only a great party but the modest admission cost benefits two very worthy local charities - Youth Educational Support Services and the Jeannete Williams Foundation for Children's Cancer Research.
On February 13, 2010, bring the family to the Kemah Boardwalk for the Annual Yachty Gras Boat Parade. Join the revelers on along the Boardwalk to view the beautifully decorated boats and admire the colorful costumes worn by the sailors. The parade starts at 7 PM, but come early so you can get a good spot to catch loads of beads that are being thrown ashore from the boats.
